He wishes for the Cloths of Heaven

Spring forward, fall backRecently, I shared with one of my teachers, my vision and dream. There are consequences and there are responsibilities to everyone I connected with in life. There are also consequences and responsibilities to myself.  It was a short conversation.

Afterward, he sent me an email, to follow up on our conversation, advising patience and listening to the world with a compassionate heart. I hope I have learnt a little.

He finished the email with a poem called “He wished for the Cloths of Heaven”. The last time I heard this poem was when I got married and a relation presented this to us as a embroidered cloth, pictured and framed.

And, as I make decisions of change and transformation, so too do others I connect with. So I offer this poem to these braves souls that walk from the path of duality and into the the path of destiny. Be brave, be patient and be kind.

Sat Nam.

He wishes for the Cloths of Heaven
Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread upon my dreams.
